Lacy Print

Flower Girl

Whitney loved the idea of wearing her mother’s gown for her own wedding, but didn’t love the style. The short A-line shift with lace jacket was perfect for her mother in the 1960s, but a September wedding in coastal Maine called for something a little different. Inspired by the favorite sundress in her closet, Fermata Designs created a maxi length bamboo jersey halter gown. To incorporate elements from her mother’s gown, the lace from the jacket was used to create a delicate back detail as well as a silk screen print used to embellish the gown’s waistline.
